Every pair of PUFA shoes goes through the same process it always has — selected hides, hand-cut patterns, and stitching done stitch by stitch. It takes longer. It costs more. And it shows.
The result is a pair of shoes that improves with age — that tells the story of where you have been in the grain and patina of the leather.

The Four Steps

Leather Selection
Only full-grain hides. Each skin is checked by hand for grain quality, thickness, and consistency before being selected for cutting.

Hand Cutting
Each upper panel is cut individually to pattern. No die-cutting shortcuts. The craftsman positions each template to avoid flaws and maximise grain direction.

Stitching
Double-stitched by our craftsmen using waxed linen thread. Every seam is tensioned and locked by hand. The upper, lining, and welt are joined with precision.

Finishing
Burnished edges, hand-applied cream and polish, and a final inspection. No pair leaves the workshop without passing the same standards every time.
